” Volunteers don’t necessarily have the time; they just have the heart.”

– Elizabeth Andrew

Here is one of our volunteers, Joshua Leggett, pictured with Aston.

Volunteers are the backbone of Fayette Friends of Animals.

As a small non-profit organization, we depend significantly on volunteers to keep the shelter running and the animals living in a humane, loving environment. No experience is necessary to be a volunteer, all you need is a warm heart for a cold nose! We are so happy that you found us and we really appreciate you wanting to volunteer with us here at FFOA. The animals depend on us to help them find their “fur”ever homes!

Volunteer Guidelines:

  1. Must be 16 years or older & have a reliable form of transportation (Can be 16 years or younger as long as parent/guardian is volunteer with the individual)

***DOG WALKERS MUST BE 18 or OLDER***

  2. Complete a volunteer application (found to the right—>) & turn in the volunteer application to ffoaprogramdirector@gmail.com

  3. Review the volunteer orientation PowerPoint, answer the questions, and return answers to ffoaprogramdirector@gmail.com

Appropriate t-shirts are mandatory when volunteering or working at Fayette Friends of Animals.  T-shirts cannot be sheer, and cannot expose midriff, chest or cleavage.  T-shirts cannot have profanity, political, or inappropriate phrases or graphics.  Bottoms should be at least at knee length and should not contain holes.  Close-toed shoes are required at all times when on the premises; preferably non-slip shoes.  For your safety, jewelry should not be worn.  Noncompliance with dress code policies may result in dismissal.  Should you have questions about the dress code, please contact Shelter Management.
