Fayette Friends of Animals

"Polly" the toy pomeranian was recently rescued by the Fayette Friends of Animals. Later, we found out that Polly's heart never fully developed. A valve on her heart did not close properly after birth as it was suppose to. She had to undergo treatment & surgeries at Ohio State University. This cost the Fayette Friends $1,700.00 and lots of tender loving care for this poor little dog to be saved. Any and all donations towards this surgery would be greatly appreciated!

Little "Polly Pocket" has been adopted to a wonderful family who can give her the love and attention that she truly deserves, however the shelter is still in a lot of debt for her medical bills! If you would like to donate, please see the information below! Thank you!

Dog Rescued, Surgery Needed!

Fayette Friends of Animals recently lended a helping hand to another local shelter by taking over the care of an injured dog.  We are guessing that the 8 month old lab mix was hit by a car and was desperatly in need of surgery for his shattered shoulder, fractured pelvis and fractured femur. He is currently in foster care, but is in stable condition. His foster mom chose to name him "Mason"! Our shelter needs help to pay for this and many other similar cases that we deal with on a regular basis.

UPDATE!

Masons pelvis is healed and his front leg is doing great however he will always limp as it is shorter than the other leg now.  He is housetrained, paper trained, knows how to sit, gets along great with other dogs and with every person he meets. He is a good listener, doesn't run off, and is very affectionate. He is hoping to find a home for the holidays!!
